Frank was much more than the sculptor of the Heisman. He went on to an illustrious career which included the sculpting of two National Monuments, work for Steuben Glass, medals for Medallic Art Society one of which was the Ford inaugural medallion, commissions in all area of the country and has works in several museums.
Frank owned greyhounds at one time and later owned
Italian Greyhounds. All his work was preceeded by hundreds of sketches that
helped him both think out and present ideas for a commission.
Though his final works did not include a greyhound, he included them in his
working sketches just for his own enjoyment. A few of these original
signed working sketches remain today and make lovely framed prints. In the 80's, Frank designed three greyhound pendants
which were cast in sterling in a signed limited edition and sold to Italian
Greyhound fanciers.
